Held in Chicago from May 12–14, 2025, this premier industry event brought together the brightest minds shaping the future of smart cities, next-generation wireless, IoT, and emerging connectivity solutions. As the conversation shifted from what’s now to what’s next, the Executivevents team was proud to support the digital backbone of this highly anticipated event with our suite of integrated event tech solutions: Badgr, Trackr, and Fetch.
Connect (X) is more than a trade show—it’s a high-stakes arena where the future of global connectivity is discussed, demonstrated, and decided. For the 2025 edition, the organizing team needed a seamless attendee experience, real-time session tracking, and smart lead retrieval that empowered both exhibitors and attendees.

Our objective: deliver a zero-hiccup event tech experience and set the foundation for deeper data insights and smoother user journeys throughout the event.
Our onsite team arrived early to oversee setup and integrity testing of all systems. With hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees expected, precision was non-negotiable.

One unexpected curveball emerged during tech setup: the venue’s network defaulted to a static IP setup. This could have disrupted our scanning systems and connectivity. Fortunately, our team was alert. With swift collaboration between our onsite technician and Andres from EliTech, the issue was diagnosed and resolved within minutes by switching to a dynamic IP. The seamless recovery kept the client calm and confident.

This quick pivot was a testament to our proactive communication, technical readiness, and collaborative vendor relationships.
From the moment attendees stepped onsite, Badgr delivered fast, reliable, and professional check-ins. With scannable badges integrated into the full tech ecosystem, attendees could easily access sessions, and exhibitors could scan badge codes to collect leads. Event staff appreciated the intuitive setup and backend simplicity that reduced training time and tech troubleshooting to near-zero.
Trackr enabled real-time session scanning at every breakout and keynote. Beyond simply knowing who attended which session, the Connect (X) team now has access to data around session popularity, traffic flow, and dwell time—insights that will inform future programming and capacity planning.
A key takeaway for future events: having a dedicated Trackr tech onsite enhanced the service quality significantly. Based on this experience, our team recommends offering Trackr-specific support staff as an added service tier going forward.

Exhibitors used Fetch to capture high-value leads via badge scans, complete with notes, qualifiers, and instant exports. The simple UI, reliable hardware, and smooth integration with Badgr gave exhibitors confidence they weren’t missing out on potential business.
